Man Hit and Killed By Train in Fremont

46 year-old Scott Burkhart, a resident of Fremont, was struck and
severely injured by an Amtrak commuter train at Mission Boulevard in Fremont on Friday night. He died en route to Eden Hospital. According to reports, he suffered a severed leg and severe head injuries.
Union Pacific police are investigating how the accident occurred. This follows the death of a 20 year man last month in Albany.
